East of Eden

A Graphic Novel Anthology · Four Stories · One Vision

Four tales drawn from the darker meridians of the human experience. Each story stands alone — a complete world of shadow, consequence, and the kind of truth that only pulp can tell. Together, they form something larger: a testament to the stories that live just past the edge of where the light reaches.

About Mark C. Turner

Mark is a writer and creator working at the intersection of horror, pulp fiction, crime, and fantasy. Operating under the banner of Swampwater Press — his independent comic LLC — he brings a raw, visceral sensibility to sequential art storytelling, drawing from the classic pulp tradition while carving out a voice entirely his own.

The worlds Mark builds are not comfortable ones. They are places where consequence is real, where darkness serves a purpose, and where the old-school thrills of pulp magazines meet the craft and ambition of modern graphic literature. Every story from Swampwater Press carries that same dual charge: the gut-punch of genre and the weight of something genuinely felt.

Based in the tradition of storytellers who understood that the best tales are told in ink and shadow, Mark is currently developing the debut Swampwater Press anthology — East of Eden — a landmark first release that establishes the press's voice and sets the stage for the worlds yet to come.
